Canaan Motor Club: Are you a race car driver at heart looking for that elusive waving checkered flag of victory? Canaan Motor Club has you covered. The 1.3 mile road course in Canaan, NH is available to rent for the entire day! You and 14 of your friends can rent the facility (there is a cap of 15 cars and drivers) and satisfy your need for speed. Car clubs, kart clubs, motorcycle clubs, and driving schools all enjoy this challenging course designed to run in both directions providing a 2.6 mile course with nine major turns. Tunbridge World’s Fair: Say goodbye to summer and hello to big smiles everywhere you turn at the Tunbridge World’s Fair! The fair is September 15-18, 2022. The fair has been a highly anticipated and celebrated event for Upper Valley locals and tourists since 1867. Sit back and enjoy this short 27 minute film. The Prouty: The Prouty is an event that includes cycling, walking, rowing, golfing, and more! It will take place July 8-9, 2022. It was established in 1982 by four cancer care nurses who were inspired by their patient Audrey Prouty. Audrey cycled 100 miles through the White Mountains of New Hampshire. This family-friendly fundraising event raises funds for research and family support services at Dartmouth Cancer Center. The golf event will be held at Eastman Golf Links in Grantham, NH. The cycling, walking, and rowing event will take place in Hanover, NH. You can choose several distance and terrain options for cycling and walking and several distance options for rowing. NEXUS Music and Arts Festival: Enjoy the heartwarming sounds of reggae, blues, rock, folk, jazz, West African, and bluegrass on three stages as you and your family dance your way through downtown Lebanon, NH in August. Montshire Museum of Science: This hands-on science museum will be enjoyed by you and your family all year long. The museum has rotating indoor exhibits and outdoor activities. The “Leonardo da Vinci: Machines in Motion” exhibit opened in May and will be open through Monday, September 5, 2022. The 250 foot outdoor watercourse is a lot of fun for your kids to explore on a hot summer day and can easily engage their attention for an hour or two. The watercourse runs from the museum down to the Connecticut River in Norwich, Vermont. The museum offers camps for children entering grades 1-2, entering grades 3-4, entering grades 5-6, and entering grades 7-9. The camps are popular and fill up fast, it’s a good time to start thinking about summer camps next year when you and your family enjoy the daily exhibits this year!
